These mysterious amulets were found in a monumental building known as the ‘Eye Temple’ in Tell Brak, an international city of its day in north eastern Syria. Believed to be votives representing the offerer, their wide eyes demonstrate their attentiveness to the gods."
The Amulet series embody the mysteries of relics and customs of antiquity, including Ancient Greece and Rome, North Africa and the Middle East.
