Noat, a celebration of deepened connection with the moment, self, another, the earth, and the universe through the ritual of intimacy.

Our Offerings

Noat designs one-of-a-kind paper goods, fragrance, and curio for those seeking a quiet sense of cosmopolitan style. Noat’s products are made from the highest quality ingredients and mindful materials for the well-being of all bodies—yours and the planet’s.

Philosophy & Values

Noat’s products exist in a flowing choreography with this ever-changing world. Guided by the principles of each moment's sacredness, the tranquility of stillness, the gifts of interconnection, reverence for all that is alive, and a commitment to sustainability, these values form the foundation for an ever-growing range of offerings.

Noat values pushing conceptual boundaries to discover the unexpected, embracing intuition, and resisting labels. It is present, fluid, unisex, inclusive, and always looking to the horizon.

Noat stands in harmony with the culture and world around it. We value deep listening, responsiveness, and kindness. These values inspire the creation of deeply considered items designed to facilitate moments of connection, reflection, joy, and renewal.

Origin

Noat began on the west coast of Ireland, surrounded by northern light and spacious winter solitude. For three months, facing the great expanse of the Atlantic Ocean, NiFe studied, drew, and mapped what would become Noat’s first utterance. Noat debuted in the spring of 2016 at the National Stationery Show in NYC and is now based in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Our collection began as an exploration of lifelong interests in sacred space, mysticism, the esoteric, ritual, design, typography, contemporary art, and minimalism. Weaving these passions into a single expression became the personality of Noat and remains the warm current from which the line drinks.

Founder

NiFe studied conceptual art-making with a focus on drawing and photography, spending over two decades building a career in branding design. NiFe’s current exploration is multidisciplinary, spanning performance, dance, installation, film, photography, and design. The delights found in the lost remnants of our human imprint have served as sparks for NiFe’s work. Noat is a presentation of the ideas and objects born of these practices.

It’s Conceptual

NiFe approaches the card as more than a blank canvas; it becomes a vehicle for conceptual exploration. The modest folded sheet has the power to shift perception, bear witness, incite action, and stir profound emotions. Its beauty lies in its steadfast form, continuously inviting rediscovery through fresh interpretations.

Revering the fleeting nature of life, NiFe emphasizes the importance of presence. By examining the interplay between impermanence and permanence, NiFe reflects on what is meant to endure and what is destined to fade. Embracing the transient, NiFe crafts carefully considered ephemeral products meant to be experienced and to return to the earth without harm.

Through these intentional moments, NiFe nurtures a deeper connection with oneself, others, the universe, and the planet. These creations quietly facilitate opportunities for reflection and renewal, bridging the transient and the eternal with grace and purpose.

FSC Certified

The mission of the Forest Stewardship Council™ (FSC®) is to promote environmentally sound, socially beneficial, and economically prosperous management of the world’s forests.www.fscus.org. Mohawk grades that carry the FSC-certified designation meet the strict standards set forth by FSC. License Code: FSC® C002350.

Carbon Neutral

Mohawk grades carrying the Carbon Neutral designation are made carbon neutral within Mohawk’s production processes.  In addition to purchasing enough Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) to match 100% of the electricity used in our operations, the thermal energy used in the manufacture of several grades is offset through the purchase of carbon credits that fund renewable energy or emission-reduction projects. These carbon offsets meet credible third-party standards.  Through this process, Mohawk is seeking to manufacture these papers with a net zero climate impact.

Our coated papers meet GS-10 based on 15% post-consumer content, industry standard performance, and protective limits on heavy metals and formaldehyde. For more information visit GreenSeal.org.
